Participation in Ec/PS Web Experiments
To participate in web experiments, you must:
-
Register in the participant database and mailing list for EEPS. (this is
not the same as registering for the class) If you have not registered,
register
now. You will need your Social Security number. The "referring class"
is the class in which you are now enrolled that requires experimental participation.
If you are already in the data base and if this is a new class then you
should choose the "change" option and list yourself in the new class.
-
You should read the instructions for the experiment fully before the experiment
begins.
-
Look around. You may look at the pages by Logging in with ID#: 1 , password:
a, or ID#: 2 , password: b.
-
You will be able to get your experiment ID and password 30 minutes before
the start of the experiment. You must already be registered in the participant
database to get your experment ID and password.
-
Find a computer. to participate in the experiment you must find a computer
on the internet with Netscape 2 or better. If you do not have a computer,
some of the available computers on campus are:
-
The house computer labs.
-
The computer lab in Baxter 15.
-
The ITS (CCO) labs.
-
The UGCS lab.
-
The Sherman Fairchild library.
-
You should periodically check the Announcements
page periodically before and during the experiments for important announcements.
-
If you have questions or are confused, you may stop by the lab in Baxter
15 or call the lab at x4876 before the experiment.
